Esta es una silla para bebés desde el nacimiento hasta los 4 años (105 cm). Como todas las sillas de coche de esta marca que estamos probando (mirad aquí el modelo KIDFIX II XP SICT de Britax Römer nos estamos sorprendiendo de su altísima calidad y la seguridad que proporciona a los niños. Hoy os quiero hablar precisamente de seguridad y también presentaros este producto que acaba de llegar al mercado. Así que si buscáis silla para vuestro bebé, a contramarcha y hasta los 4 años, tenéis que leer este artículo. Una nota de prensa que recibí hace algunos días indicaba que más de la mitad de los conductores ponen en peligro a sus hijos en el coche. Me llamó la atención porque recientemente dos personas próximas a mi me sorprendieron con los sistemas de retención que llevaban en sus vehículos. El primero utilizaba una silla del año de la polca, que ha pasado de hijos a sobrinos y a nietos. Está la silla que ni os cuento. Pensad que un niño crece durante los primeros cuatro años de vida unos 52 cm. Esto significa que, cuando haya cumplido los cuatro años, le habrán quedado pequeñas 8 tallas de ropa. La silla Britax Römer Dualfix i-Size sirve para todo este tiempo y tiene hasta 12 posiciones de reclinación de espaldas para adaptarse a todas las necesidades (seis posiciones cuando va a contramarcha y en otras seis cuando va de cara a la marcha). La bebé que he llevado sentada en ella tiene tres meses y he utilizado la posición más recostada, que es a la vez la más ergonómica para los recién nacidos. Como veréis en las fotos tiene un cojín de bebé que se quita para que la silla se amplíe y sea cómoda para los más mayores.

Si el peque vomita, algo muy común en mi familia por ejemplo, la funda de la Britax Römer Dualfix i-Size se extrae sin necesidad de retirar el arnés y puede lavarse en la lavadora. Es algo a destacar desde luego.

Ya sabéis que las sillas de coche orientadas a contramarcha ofrecen la mejor protección en caso de colisión frontal, el tipo de accidente más frecuente en las carreteras. El reposacabezas en forma de V también asegura una protección óptima en este tipo de colisiones, además se puede ajustar con facilidad desde la parte frontal de la silla para adaptarlo a la altura del niño o niña. Asimismo, me ha resultado muy cómodo adaptar los arneses. Estos llevan unas suaves almohadillas de neopreno de alta calidad que se ajustan cómodamente sobre el pecho de los bebés y que también ayudan a reducir el movimiento del pequeño en caso de colisión. Se pueden desmontar con facilidad para lavar sin tener que desinstalar el arnés.
